According to the data provided by the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova for the year of 2020, the exports of Moldovan goods to the United Arab Emirates have amounted to 675,77  thousand of USD (in comparison to 1,869 mln USD for the year of 2019), while the amount of imported goods consisted of 5,004 mln USD (in comparison to 4,882 mln USD for the year of 2019), the bilateral trade balance being of - 4,328 mln USD.

In the period between January and June 2021, the bilateral Moldovan-Emirati trade amount reached 5,679 mln USD, while the number of companies with Emirati capital registered in the Republic of Moldova has reached 41 companies, and, the investments volume coming from the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Moldova amounted to 2,8 mln USD in the year of 2020, which is 40% higher than the year of 2019.
